We did Strawberry Point this Labor Day weekend with my parents, Sanders, Tippetts and is. The Greens planned on coming but ended up with the flu so the had to cancel.
We took longer to get there than expected with construction in the gorge.
We grabbed Chick-Fil a on the way up.
We fished Saturday and Sunday and had a lot of luck. We threw most of them back but kept a couple for the dogs and they surprisingly didn’t want them. We also saw a big bird (maybe a falcon) swoop down and catch a fish 2 times... pretty cool to see!
The kids ran and played and had lots of fun riding the quads. Both nights we went on a little ride along them meadow and saw lots of deer and antelope.
Jaiden learned how to use the clutch and drive the 450, I later tried and finally got it out of neutral. I haven’t tried in years because I never have luck... but I got it.
When I drove the 450, Jaiden swapped and drove the truck for the first time too.
We hiked down in the Mammoth caves, Pete stayed out with the dogs, he remembers going in the past and crawling. I couldn’t remember doing them but was glad we did this time. Kadence loved it so much she wished it was longer. They kids saw a little bat in a crack before we went fully into the cave and thought it was so cool.
We over ate like usual and had lots of fun. Sunday we squeezed in a little nap (or half way) while the kids played.
I love me some camping!!!! Like always!!
*mom and dad had a blowout on their trailer on the way home, thankfully we and the Tippetts were behind them to help. Their spare was flat and their pump was broken.. thankfully we had a pump.
(We came home to a decorated house from the other cousins :) )
