Memorial Day Trip

My family headed to Strawberry Point for Memorial Day weekend.
Life has been crazy busy and work also.
We will be in California four days next week and decided we wanted the camping fun without the packing stress.
So we left the toys and trailer behind and did a LONG day trip.
Left at 4am and got home at 11p.
It was so worth it

Riding 4 wheelers. playing in the stream, digging, kids running free, dogs running free, potato guns, real guns, naps, Smores and fires.

Yw Pie Fundraiser

For our young women's Camp fundraiser we did homemade apple pies again for Mother's Day. Tuesday we put together the crumbs for the topping Thursday night Pete and I were down at the church laying out the flooring to protect the carpet and Saturday I took kadence with me for about 6 hours to help assemble the pies.

Rylan Turns 12

Rylan 12th birthday was on Wednesday during the school week we ate McDonald's for breakfast and his dinner request was a can of chili with Fritos. I double check with him twice to make sure that's actually what he wanted and he said yes. On his actual birthday though when I made it he said if he knew it was that easy he probably would have requested something harder haha. That night we went to Walmart to shop for candy chips and soda for his birthday party on Friday. My mom picked up and delivered pizza and also made his ice cream sandwich cake. Work has been crazy stressful and of course Pete was stuck working thankfully he got home before the party started. Rylan had about 20 friends over to celebrate his birthday they hung out played video games on his new PlayStation that he saved up and bought himself. They played corn toss jumped on the trampoline and play basketball out front. He was supposed to have only three friends spend the night and somehow we wound up with 6. Our next day was pretty nuts as I had a young lemon pie fundraiser and had to leave at 7 a.m. and Pete was supposed to coach basketball at 9 a.m. some of the parents didn't come like they were supposed to MP ended up dragging along are two boys and three extra boys to the basketball games. These boys were going off about 2 hours of sleep too they stayed up till 4 a.m.

Kade turns 9

Kadence turned 9 on Saturday.
She has a little possy of girlfriends at school and she had a hard time narrowing it down to WHO she would invite.
I originally told her 3 girls because I was worried about keeping track of them on a busy Saturday. I caved and let her invite all 5. 1 wasn't able to make it.
We have 3 gold season passes so only paid $15 to get them all in.
We did little Caesars pizza and homemade brownie trifle for dessert.
I also got the girls matching towels at Wal-Mart for super cheap.
The girls had So much fun and I was super tired from chasing them through the "lazy river" but Kadence said it was the best Birthday yet!
Love you little sis and all your spunk.
Your my best friend ever!!
