Camping for Joshs Birthday

Josh does an annual birthday up camping. Last year Pete was on call so we couldn't make it. This year the boys had their first basketball game on Saturday morning. So we decided to make it a one night thing. Therefore, I thought we should just sleep in a tent instad of pull the trailer since we drive a lot slower and would end up with less time to be there and more gas $.

Well.... Pete grabbed the tent with the broken poles (Ill give him some credit here though cause we both thought it was the right tent).
So we decided to sleep in the back of the truck with the kids in the truck. The kids fell asleep and we then head to bed (which I have never slept "under the stars" (besides a trampoline in Vegas). I was chalking it up to a bucket list item haha.
We go to get in bed and its COLD, and Pete packed the single sleeping bag.. not the queen size one we share.   :/  We would have been snuggling REAL close.. IF we fit. and opening it up we would have FROze.  We ALL piled in the truck. It was not ideal but atleast we were warm.

Tank was Freezing in the middle of the night and we felt bad.. we brought the dogs in the truck 2. ALL SEVEN Of us slept in the truck. Thankfully Ill take warmth over comfort any day. But... at one point in the night Jaiden and I both woke up and couldn't breath.  We had seriously breathed all the good air. We cracked the window and caught our breath.  Definitely a camping memory to not be forgotten. AND now we know we like our trailer ALOT.

In Cedar City we stopped for Taco Bell. The drive through lady was commenting on our dog box and said she wanted to camp with us.  Ry said she could come with us cause we had one more seat... haha, she gave them free churros for being sweet!!

We were on this mountain at the beginning of the month but the leaves have changed since and there are more of these tree on this side of the mountain. I was INCREDIBLE and these pictures just don't do it justice. Pete and I LOVED it.

When we first arrived we all had a little baseball fun!

There were probably 30 people there so the kids had fun playing with the other kids.

We took a little ride in Josh side by side to the little lake/pond?

Take about gorgeous!

No one in sight!

Happy BIrhtday JOSH!! were glad we could come hang out.   Such yummy dutch oven food from some real pros for sure!!

Jaime and Christian

Kona babes.

Kadence has started gymnastics.
It's for 1 hour and I have to watch her on a tiny screen and can only see really what she's doing for about 15 or 20 min.
So I've decided I should grocery shop or run or do something useful during that time.
Last week I brought Kona so I could go on a run.
Normall when we take the dogs any were we take the truck, so having Kona up in front..  Kadence was loving it.

Student Council

Jaiden ran for President this year (5th grade)
He got to make posters but was not allowed anything else to hand out. They could introduce themselves and ask for a vote.
The 4th and 5th graders could vote but not yoUnger. Kadence was a little bummed she couldn't vote for Jaiden.

Jaiden ran against 6 other kids and didn't end up winning but gets to be on student council for trying.
I'm proud of him for trying!

Six and Sleepy

She's six and likes to cuddle ALOT still.
BUT.  There is something about a sleeping babe that makes it a million times sweeter.
Sunday while watching TV she fell asleep on my leg. She stayed that way for an hour and a half.
I lover every second of it. I even pulled her up to my chest eventually.

I love you my beautiful baby girl.

Little hiking

We mixed it up some and hiked the Back of mtns. Edge.

Since our dogs are amazing off a leash, and we can't hike thr normal mountains edge with them off a leash we just hit the little hill behind the house. Still a pretty cool view!

We think we found it!!!

Kadence has played soccer and did dance, and took swimming. ALL she started complaining about before we were very far in.
So we haven't put her in anything for a little bit.  She started watching gymnastics on YouTube and fell in love. She taught herself a back bend kick over. She was always doing little routines around the house.
But I was still hesitant to sign her up because of her "history" haha.
I told her if in a month or two she kept practicing and still wanted to... I'd sign her up.

She stuck with it. 3 weeks ago we did a free trial class and she said " This is fabulous.. i think I want to do it"

We're 3 weeks in now and she's still is loving it, and I think we've found her "nitch"

The first trial class I was able to sit in the gym. Now I have to sit in the parent room that he cameras to watch off of. It's still fun to see her.

Gilcrease Orchards

We've bern thinking about Gilcrease Orchards for a year or two and just have never made it happen.
Living in Vegas there is SOO much to do and most we never try.
We spent our Saturday morning at Gilcrease Orchards for the first time.
We picked lots of veggies.
The kids LOVED it and definately want to go back.
We of course had to check out their fresh pumpkin doughnuts and kettle corn.
And we also tried the cider.

Well for sure be back!! Perfect fall family fun.
