My Snowboarding 6 yr old

Pete wanted to bring Jaiden snowboarding last year and I said no, but he made me promise him he could come the next year. So.. The time came and I was hesitant. Dont get me wrong, I knew Jai could do it and I seen numerous tiny kids out there but I was just worried about him picking up to much speed and hitting a tree or something. I liked the idea of the skis and straps :) Haha!! (Remind you of the leash post) But we knew since mom and dad board then he would want to also. I was worried he had in mind JUMPS (which he did). There were a few times he actually tried to jump his board a little :) Too Cute. Anyways, Celestial, Brandon, and Jay all came with us.

He really liked the lift. By the end of the day he wanted to get off without me holding onto him.. I though he was nuts but he made it all the way out of peoples way before he fell. Not too shabby.

Little break. The weather was great.

Doesnt he look pissed :) .. He is, its flat here and hes having to SLOWLY scoot along. NO FUN!!

He LOVED it and DID NOT want to go home. (But he was soo dang tired)

We made it a 1 day trip and left at 4am. Jaiden stayed awake the whole way there but passed out after (about 5p Vegas time and slept till 6:20a the next morning and still wasnt ready to wake up for school. We had a fun time and Petes already trying to talk me into Rylan next year. I told him 1 more year. Plus, this is all going to start adding up money wise real quick :(

Time with the Family

Petes Sisters, D, and the kids came down to Vegas for a the Holiday weekend. It flew by far too fast.

The weather was windy on Saturday and we were waiting to meet up so we went to Walmart and got some games just in case. The kids had fun playing htme for a little bit.

Kadence sometime give Kaelyn a hard time but it only took a few minutes this time around to warm up to Kaelyn and she LOVED her all weekend. She was even calling her mommy (Its ok, im still mama)

We tried out Max Brenner @ Cesar Palace. YUMMY!!! The boys got a chocolate Pizza slice and Pete, Kadence, and I shared a frozen hot chocolate ( your thinking, ok, choc. shake. >> Nope, It was different and yummy)



Jaidens wasnt feeling good and we had to head out early. He has a fever the next day too.

Molluscom Contagiosm

Rylan got this ( Mulloscum Contagiosm) from one of the kids at school. We noticed last summer he was developing a ton of bumps under his armpit. I took him in for his shots and asked the doctor if he had a rash? He told me they are warts (really, that many??) and to try to treat with Compound W and see dermotologist if it doesnt work.

Do you know how horrible warts are??
UUUGGGGHHHH!!
So we started trying the liquid. No change.
We bought the freeze kind.
Umm.. Horrible NEWS!.. I told Pete I wouldnt be shocked if the Police came from one of the nieghbors calling for child abuse. We had to hold our poor baby down while trying to freeze off numerous warts night after night. He would yell and scream, and yell he was on fire! We decided it was worth spending $ and seeing a dermotologist. By this time Jaiden had gotten some too.

So we go, and find out that the wart medicine didnt work because its not QUITE a wart. Its in the same family but more of a virus. Some people get thousands of them, and on their faces :( Anyways, were were given a few options, One being leave it alone and it can take 6mo- 5 yrs to go away.

NO THANKS!

So we chose a "BEETLE JUICE", Literally beetles mashed up which cause the skin to blister and in turn make them go away. But could need a 2nd dose. When appyling it didnt hurt. We had to wash off 4 hrs later in cool bath.

WOW!!! NIGHTMARE!! Poor Rylan, as you can see from the pictures. Was in horrible pain. Taking the tape off was literally peeling off skin. :( It was absolutely horrible!!

To not only see your child in pain, but to put him through it yourself.
And then after the bath, because it was blisters, had to apply neosporen to them, I literally wasnt touching them, just setting it on top and putting on bandaid. He was SCREAMING! We had to do daily. Thankfully after about 4 was not too bad, just time consuming.

Needless to say, I was home with sad babies for a few days. Rylan couldnt sleep without his arm above his head.

Rylans healed up and were gone. Jaidens were not.
I did not want to pay another $75/each co-pay to deal with that again. I searched the internet and found a possible solution. by now Kadence had developed some too.


O PLEASE LET THIS WORK!
IT DID!
$25 Bucks for both kids, and 5 weeks later. NO PAIN!! :) were free and clear of this CRAP!!

Jaidens Crush!!

Remember your first crush!! I mean REAL crush? I know you all do!!

Well I want to remember Jaidens.

He played soccer with Carla before school started and was good friends with her, and no happens to be in the same Kindergarden class together. Anyways, while we were picking out Valentines cards I expected Star Wars or Transfomers of something typically all boy like Jai is. NO, He really wanted I CARLI, I couldnt figure out why. He doesnt watch the show much and its not BOY!! I kept asking if he wanted to switch and eventually he chose somehting else because he confessed eh was getting them because CARLA likes I CARLI. :) Too cute. Anyways, I told him that she would probably pick them herself.

Our Valentines DAY

I did a post of Serendipity that Pete took up to for Valentines, but here is what we did on Valentines DAY!




Heres a little surprise I left for the kids to wake up to. Rylan was soo cute. He came into me in the morning
Rylan:"Who left this for us??"
Me: "me & dad"
Rylan: "OH, THANK YOU MOM!!!" With a HUGE hug!!

That alone was so worth the effort :) Soo sweet! Im glad hes one of my sweet Valentines!!

Since were out the door by 6:35a I did NOT make these that morning. Saturday, the boys and I made these and froze them and them popped them in the microwave that morning. They were excitied for a fun breakfast!

When I picked up the kids from daycare they were all excited about there parties they had!!

I came home to my Favorite Flowers :) Always makes my day!!

We invited Granny over for Dinner.

Pete and I made the potaotes together and he grilled up the steaks.. YUMMY!!

We had starwberry shortcake for dinner

And I ended the night cuddling my babies. And watching house with the hubby :)

It was the perfect Valentines Day!! hope everyone had a good time enjoying there loved ones, I know I did!
