Duck Creek Memorial Day

Whats new... we went camping at duck creek. Haha.
Normally we head up for labor day weekend but we went for memorial since BILLS heater wasn't working and we made a trip out of it.
Granny normaly heads to utah but wasn't this year so we got to take her with us.

My parents, the Tippetts and sanders came to.
We ate, relaxed, rode, and fished. We expected the weather to be cold and rainy and started to worry when driving up there was still snow on parts of the mountain tain.we lucked out and had beautiful clear skies and it actually got a little warm in the middle of the day.

We had lots of fun!

Mother's day

I ain't gunna lie, pete isn't a planner and on occasion I've been sad when he last minute runs to the store and gets whatever he can gets his hands on for mothers day, valentines.

So he stepped it up the mothers day.
Kids made breakfast in bed. I watched a little Netflix and relaxed. They spoiled me with gifts (real good ones)
And we went on my favorite...a hike :)

Birthdays

Over 9 days we have 5 important birthdays. 

Pete got new shoes and a gps and we had dinner at tacos El gordo with friends after basketball practice. We came home for a homemade rocky road cake. 

 Kadence turned 7 and requested scones with chocolate frosting for breakfast.
She brought store bought cupcakes to school since last year homemade didn't work, this year I guess store isn't either. She she shared with kids at the bus stop after school.  She requested a shopping spree with only mom.

She LOVED it and said why don't we do this more often. Haha.  I also was not allowed in the dressing room because she's old enough ;)
For dessert she had ice cream.

 Rylan got a rude awaking with silly.
He had school and then we had planned on a movie. I could tell he wasn't excited so I asked. Hes too sweet and won't speak up.
We wound up at mini grand prix. He loved it. He asked for slurpee instead of cake.
He's the sweetest and also got stuff for Kadence with his tickets. He got new (expensive) shoes for his birthday...he is his father's child.

 We spent friday night with my parents eating pizza and movies. The next day was his birthday.

 Friday we went to dinner with granny to flamingo fajitas. Yumm! Complete with the hat and song.

Also I babysat Justin for the first time. He slept the whole time in the sling.
