First Day of Kinder/1st grade

Monday was Rylan very first day of Kindergarten nad Jaidens first day of "FULL" 1st grade school. Pete & I took off work to be there for the special day. We dropped off Kadence at daycare so that the day could be all about them. We were ready far too early and ended up grabbing a car wash so we wouldnt have soo much time. By the time we got back the area was packed. We parked, walked over and dropped off Jaiden. That was hard, leaving him before the bell rang, but it was only for a second. We practically ran to get Rylan to his area in time.

 Pete & I left for a some "free" time. We got him a haircut and hit up Belz (the outlet mall) for new work boots. We headed back for Rylan and snuck a peek at Jaiden on the playground. Wow!! A ton of kids, but we saw him :)

Rylan had a good time but was bummed they didnt have time for recess today. He said his teacer was very nice. He couldnt focus for his life to answer my questions. He had his own things to talk about. Including the bears.. I guess his teacher loves them.   To keep the tradition going, Pete & I took him were ever he wanted to go for lunch with just us. He chose Burger King *with the playplace.

 Yesterday both boys were dropped off a daycare and were driven from there. They LOVE it. Rylan loves that hes not in a car seat. They both get to ride with there friends. Rylans teachers sent me home with his blankets and sheet...because his in the "schoolers" class now and doenst take naps anymore. Thats the most emoitonal I got. When Rylan isnt in the same daycare class. Not that he is in kindergarden. Im weird?? I know.  So.. overall... Not a single tear shed for these big men. I know theyll do great. Rylan has been ready for 2 years .. or wanting I should say. I know these boys will shine!! Im so proud of the little men they are and the confidence they both have in themselves.

Camping

Because my cousin passed away and the funeral / dedication was in Henriville, Ut. We wanted to be there Friday for the Funeral/Grave Dedication/Luncheon.  But decided to make good family timeo ut of it as well. My mom and I last minute found a camp ground near Duck Creek (our favorite..which is about 1 hr away from Henriville). We headed out of town Thursday night with The Tippetts, to share gas cost.

Wow!! Pete was driving and Celestials family in the middle and my kids in the back.. or sooo that was the plan. We should have arrived around 8pm.

Or NOT!!
First off, we dropped off the dog at Rose's house.
Then we were hungry and hit up Cafe Rio... then the kids were horrible and I said we HAD to hit up a park to eat before we hit the road. Everyone agreed. The boys finished ordering and me and Lesh loaded up the kids... and this happened. CHAOS!! Kadence wouldnt stop crying. Which made me and Leshal laughing histarically (or freaking out about our journey :) )

Once we hit the park.. This smoothed out for a minute. The kids played and we ate. Jaiden has to pee, no restroom in site, pees on tree in park (what do you expect.. put in a toilet people) Then Jaiden had to poop (no i didnt make him poop in a tree). Brandon/Leshal house is just down the street. So the boys take him. We finish feeding the kids. Then Rylan has to Pee, pees in tree. Then needs to poop. Uh oh!! Boys how up. Pick us up. Hit up gas station/Mariannas (for dinners meat that we need tommorrow camping). Place is packed. We sit in car. Tara getting frustrated cause Pete is hanging out with friend (owner) while we all sit in car for 45 min. Pete comes out.. turns out he was sick in bathroom. Tara feels bad!! :(   Hit the road, now about 8:45p. About 1 hr into drive. Pete still not feeling good. Pull over to switch for me to drive. Tara scares Celestial and Brandon  and decide my eyes are like my dadaies and dont do good driving at night. Tara msses the turn off and has to back track to Cedart Citys Walmart for Tippetts meal groceries and Utah Fishing Licenses. Its Midnight. Tara stays in car with sleeping kids and they shop. For 45 min. Matix and Rlyan wake up 2 min after they get out of car. Thank goodness for tvs in cars :)   Kids are happy. Tara doses in and out. Back on the road. Successfully make it to campground after driving real slow to not hit deer and fox and 2 stray dogs, who we tried to help but changed our minds after saw chewing on deer bones. And they didnt want our help. Get to campground and sleep.

Played on the swing set, in the gameroom, and volleyball... along with getting hit in the head by the volleyball (2 yrs olds just arent a good height for this one). Sat around the campfire and ate ice cream.

Had fun fishing with the Cousins... Or killing time while the boys fished.

Then headed home. That trip was smooth as a babies bottom. Kadence slept hte whole way. Pete and I most the way. And the boys played/slept and watched movies.

** If anyone is wondering, Pinewood Resort/Rv Park is were we stayed. Its in Duck Creek Village, Ut. It had basketball court, volleyball, horseshoes, teller ball. Swing/ Playset, Restraunt, Laundry Room, Gameroom, Shower (which our nicer than mine at home). you can brin a rv or rent a room (not sure how those are). But it was nice. Only down fall, rv spot are close together. You can rent all things (basketball,volley, ect.) or you can rent 4 wheelers and side by side if you want. Has ice cream for sale. This is a place Pete & I will be back to for sure.

Glenn VanBeveren III

Last Thursday my Cousin (Dads, sisters, son) Glenn VanBeveren Passed away. I just feel so sad for their family but was glad I could make it to all the events they had for him. Wednesday here in Vegas they held a viewing for friends and family.

I snapped some pictures of pictures they had displayed. They are absolutely precious!!

He was buried in Henriville, Ut   We were able to travle up and camp to make it. Gary was one of the Paulbearers.  Absolutely Gorgeous!!

Fun Weekend

I really struggle being at home doing nothing. Thats just not me. Im a go go go kinda person. I like being busy (usually). I like to be out and about. Pete says I have Cabin Fever. Which I do.. but why, were not home much anyways as it is. Your think after being at work all week Id want to stay home on the weekend. NOPE. I dont know the last Saturday that we were home all day. Anyway.. point being. We havent spent much time in the backyard doing NOTHING hardly at all this summer. It was kinda nice.

We ended our Friday night with late night chocolate cake. Did you know KFC has cake as part of the family meals. :) My kids sure loved it!!

Saturday was the Kids " BACK TO SCHOOL BASH " at daycare. It was much more relaxing that I thought. We hung out for almost 2 hrs. Ate some nachos and buffalo wild wings and moved around to the different stations and jumping house. They had a dressed up frog that poor Kadence was terrified off. I wonder how shell like the disney characters :( uh oh!   We got free slurpee coupons to.

Not all the kids friends were there but all of there favorites were.  :)  Savanah "nana" whos mom had Kadence in her class for a while.. who I LOVED. Jaden and Aaron (brothers)

Saturday we finished school shopping and went to the Movie in the Park. The weather couldnt have been better and even got a little chilly at the end. I wish we had gone to them all July/August. This will be the last since saturday is the last and well be out of town :(

Sunday we spent time with Granny and then off to My Parents for Dinner since my Grandpa was in town.  Hes a picture of the girls, its bad quality but I think its cute.

Some Updates::

** We made a decision on what to do for the school year. Daycare or Safekey for Jaiden before and after school. Daycare will be a little bit more ..about $20/wk. ..But, thats what were doing. I really want my boys to ride to school together and still get to play with all there same friends from schoo. They have some REALLY close friends from all the time they spend together. Plus, thats were he would be on Spring Break, Christmas Break..ect. So, the the choise :)   And im happy about it.

** Rylan.. is OFFICIALLY the pickiest dressed child EVER. UGH!! He really working mine and Petes nerves. Heres the low down... He cant wear flip flops (unless water day.. or today is Hawaii day, ect) So all summer they have mostly worn shoes. The boy CANT STAnd socks and shoes together I guess. He wines every morning that is feels funky. Ask for different socks. Needs different shoes. NO joke. And ... If that werent enough. Hes hit this stage were he likes a few choice things and wants to wear that and only that. Gets mad if I have to wash it. Or, have something in mind he NEEDS to wear. Like today. He HAD to wear swim trunks and his Hawaii shirt for swim day. They same thing he wore 2 day ago. He did as a matter of fact. I just dont look forward to teeneage years when hes actually trying to impress. Although, thats probably the half of it now. He really has like 3 girls crushing on him in class. They hug him buy everyday and run to the window to wave. 2 days ago they were actually chanting his name at the window. Oh BOY!! :)

** With changes at daycare Ive decided to start packing the kids lunches instead of pay more so we had to get Kadence a lunch pail. Target had some seriously cute ones. And some look like little purses. Of course I couldnt pass that up. She has a ladybug "Purse" and insist on carrying it herself. Priceless. Ill have to get a picture.

** Works been slowing down in the office but Petes stayed busy out in the field on installs. Thankfully. Ive dropped my hours and changed shifts. Starting Monday Ill work 8:30-4:30  Soo excited! The kids are too.

I cant believe school is in a week!! Im getting excited for the kids because there stoked. Final school shopping this weekend for supplies.

Weve been getting notices from our homeowner association about our "weeds". What weeds I have no idea because I dont have any.. partially due to the letters. Anyways, we decided to trim out trees to help the issue. While we were doing out yard work.. Our obys made a neighbor friend. Yay! Right.. not right. Heres what I saw.. A eaight year old boy (pretty sure he works  out, or is on steroids (j/k ;) ) He has numchucks because he gets in fights alot. He stays out until midnight roaming the streets. Oh yea, and his mom is a masage therapist who makes $200/hr. and has only men clients.. WOW!!! Interesting. Soo the boys had fun, while it lasted. But I will do my best to avoid this wandering neighbor boy!! Pete was cracking up at me staring at this boy and evsdropping.. hey, im allowed.. atleast in this case.  This is the only related picture I have...

Saturday we wanted to take dad swimming but due to the cloudy weatehr decided on Chucke Cheese. Its been a while since we went and we had a lot of fun.

 Yup... Thats a flooded tub you see. My first flood in 6 1/2 yrs on my own too. My mom use to flood stuff all the time ( or atleast i remember a few different times right off the top of my head). I use to wonder how you forget your filling something up. Well.. I did it!! I walked away and was cleaning. Whoops!! Kadence obviously didnt seem to mind. Jaiden thought it was soo cool to, and jumped in before I could let any out. Which of course, made it flood out more. I had to document it.   :(   Hey, the bathroom got mopped! haha

 Sunday mornings are caotic sometimes but others a Soo perfect. Like yesterday. Isnt this the picture of perfection!! The boys Love to help cook every chance they get. Jaiden literally did the bacon all by himself. With me right new=xt to him of course.

 Saturday NIght Pete took Jaiden to see a movie. Rylan had a rough day at the store so he didnt go. But we did get slurpees :) I got Flammin' hot cheetos. Although Kadence shared lots. I dont know, but it cant be normal for a two year old the like these RIGHT??!?  She LOVES them. I video taped her getting made at me for trying to take them away. Check out her BLOWING on them because they are hot too. It was raining so we played in the rain. She kept calling it, wet, water. A great Saturday night.

The latelys again...

Rylan and Kadence are becoming the best of friends. Rylan is such a SWEET boy and will totally do Kadence girl things here and there. The other night I walke in to him combing her hair.. Sooo dang cute!!

Who sleeps like this... ?? He must have been tired. Jaidens my one to conk out however and whereever.. not Rylan.
Saturday I met up with one of my oldest friends. We use to spent soo much time together when we were younger and I havent seen her in 2 year. We talked for hours catching up/Hearing about her mission to Hondurus/Being interupted by 3 little monkey kids :) Good times!

The boys have discovered dads clothes. So Fun. Theyve had about 5 nights sleep in dads clothes. Plus, all afternoon sat and sun.

This little guy scared the crap out of me at work last week. I though we had a mouse and out popped this guy. THANKFULLY I wasnt in the office alone and Greg snatched him up for me.

Leshal has a dough-boy (spelling??) We love it. It the perfect depth for the little ones but deep enough to still have fun as a adult. We play lots of marco polo with the kids.

Rough Choices!

Today was rough dropping off the kids. They went completely happy. I on the other hand am having a rough morning. Im sitting in the office just bummed. Our daycare just joined forrces with another company that is supposely really great. Its only with 10 daycare cross country. Although my prices just skyrocketed.. as if I dont already pay enough. I think that was hard. Trying to figure out which direction were going to go. So far, were leaning towards keeping Ry and Kade in Daycare and Jai will be at Safekey. Soo crappy. Seriously, I just really wish I signed up for Rylan to be in Full Kindergarden. It would have been better at this point. The reason I didnt was because I was more cost effective to just pay daycare for the time he wasnt in school. But now, it will end up costing me $50 more a week because I didnt do that..and its too late, there full :( Im having a hard time grasping that my kids will be bouncing around lots. Maybe thats why im struggling. NO, ive just been in a rut lately with work and we started to talk about dropping my hours...until this. Well see what the future brings but im sure i wont be completely satisfied. :(

Dads Heart Attack

Yesterday Morning Dad went to the hospital for a heart attack. He has been having mild heart attacks for months now and ignoring them. Sunday -Monday night he was in lots of pain but still waited for my mom to wake up (hes crazy) then tell her. Pete and Greg were able to give him a Preisthood Blessing before heading off to the hospital. He found he was in the middle of a heart attack. He had a blocked artery of 99.9% He had stent put in and is doing well now. Although they did find another blockage of 90% that will need a stent as well but will wait about 6 weeks until he is stronger. By the time I was able t ogo to the hospital he was doing much better and sitting up. He had to lay flat for 6 hours to not pull out the plug at thse groin area... which he did from talking and laughing so much. There were lots of people who came to visit and show their love for him. Im so thankful that this was just a scare and not a loss. It was really scary in the morning when he left for the hospital. Im so thnkful hes still here with us. Im so thankful for the gospel in my life and the peace a Presithood blessing can bring. Also so thankful for a husband who hold the preisthood. We had a combined lesson for Relief Society/Presithood on Sunday and it was about the families nad raising them to the Lord. Yesterday was also the 2 yr. anniversary of Petes dads passing. It was sort of a reality check of whats important in life and what I want to change in my life.

Shaving Dad

When I was getting the kids ready for church on Sunday I called for Rylan to come gel his hair. He came but told me Dad was showing Jaiden how to shave. I quickly grabbed my camera thinking I find Jaiden lathered up in shaving cream pretending to shave. NOPE .. crazy dad was acutally letting the boys SHAVE HIM. I was real nevous for him. But they had a blast and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Im glad I caught it on camera.

Family Weekend

This past weekend Crystal and the Family came in town. We hung out Thursday night at Grannys house. Friday we went to the Mirage Pool, were they were staying. It was overcast so there werent many people out there. It was lots of fun. I had fun in the pools just like the kids. Doing flips and hand stands with them.
After we got frozen yogurt. SO YUMMY. But we were stuffed by that time. After California Pizza Kitchen for dinner.

We did a kids swap. The boys slept in the HOtel with Jacob and we took the girls home for a sleepover. Believe it or not I started craving sushi on the way home. We order some to go and made a pit stop for bubbles. We stuffed our faces with Sushi (Crystal dont kill me, Kae said you would haha) and then the girls played in a bubble bath for a hour. Then off to bed it was.

The next morning we planned on going for a hike at Mt. Charleston but there was too much rain and mud so we made a change of plans. Laser Tag it was.. So fun. Im horrible to begin with but stopped to take some pictures too. I came in 8th of 17.. YEA!! haha.

After we went to the movies and watch "Smurfs" Super cute movie. Then off to Yardhouse for dinner. Or the outside of yardhouse for me. Kadence was a pain. She was super moody and cranky. I took her out 4 times! NO joke. She kept throwing fits. It reminded me of the time I use to wonder why they had car side to go,, then I had kids and totally got it. I sat and wondered why I still dont do car side to go. I may be going back to that after this dinner.
