Birthdays

Over 9 days we have 5 important birthdays. 

Pete got new shoes and a gps and we had dinner at tacos El gordo with friends after basketball practice. We came home for a homemade rocky road cake. 

 Kadence turned 7 and requested scones with chocolate frosting for breakfast.
She brought store bought cupcakes to school since last year homemade didn't work, this year I guess store isn't either. She she shared with kids at the bus stop after school.  She requested a shopping spree with only mom.

She LOVED it and said why don't we do this more often. Haha.  I also was not allowed in the dressing room because she's old enough ;)
For dessert she had ice cream.

 Rylan got a rude awaking with silly.
He had school and then we had planned on a movie. I could tell he wasn't excited so I asked. Hes too sweet and won't speak up.
We wound up at mini grand prix. He loved it. He asked for slurpee instead of cake.
He's the sweetest and also got stuff for Kadence with his tickets. He got new (expensive) shoes for his birthday...he is his father's child.

 We spent friday night with my parents eating pizza and movies. The next day was his birthday.

 Friday we went to dinner with granny to flamingo fajitas. Yumm! Complete with the hat and song.

Also I babysat Justin for the first time. He slept the whole time in the sling.

Pant night date night

I painted once before about 2 years ago but everyone else was a first.
It was a fun date night followed by oh Jah for dinner.

Jaidens first scout overnighter

Jaiden had soo soo much fun on his first scout overnight campout.

Insane inflatable 5k

A few months back there was a Groupon for this 5k run.  Normally pete would 100% turn me down for something like this. 

He does not like to run just to run. 

Play basketball, ect..ok. but just run, no. 

Well... I convinced him and signed us up. 

Day rolls around and we decided to just bring the kids because it was a super busy day. 

Jaiden watched the kids while we ran the 5k. 

At the end we slab bed our signs on them and the 3 of them got to do the last 2 obstacles. 

It was a lot of fun. And a great workout, next year I plan to sign up the boys 2, Kadence wouldn't have been able to keep up but I'm sure she'll running through at the end again. 

So much fun!!!

Fools Feast

We love our fools feast on April's fools day but celestial went all out. 

Her food was cracking me up.. and actually was delicious. 

Jaiden is getting too old lately.  So many things are obvious, but he didn't even want to look like a fool. I asked he to wear mis matched socks or shoes or something. He put his jacket on backwards..    I will take it.

Camping Apple Valley

We spent Easter weekend camping with the Lyons in Apple Valley. The kids had fun playing with the Selby kids and with toryn riding the 4 wheelers and exploring. 

Huntington Beach

Since we were in california near the beach for work.. we made a little vacation out of it. Rode brought the kid's up. We spent all day Saturday outdoors bouncing back and forth from the beach, to the pool. We enjoyed some delicious pizza by the fire pit at the hotel. Pete renting a board for Jaiden and Rylan to try out. They said they'd prefer a boot board next time ;)

Such a perfect time day.

Of course it would be right if I didn't roast like a lobster though :(
